Service is at the heart of what we do as a Christian community. Sometimes we gather to pray, sometimes we gather to be a community and just hang out, but what truly bonds our relationship together is when we work together to server one another through Christ.

Through our baptism we are called to seek and serve Christ in all persons, loving our neighbors as ourselves. While this is only a part of our mission, it is essential in our faith.

It is best stated by Lila Watson, an aboriginal women, "If you have come here to help me, then you are wasting your time…But if you have come because your liberation is bound up with mine, then let us work together." Service is not Working for others, rather, it is serving God by continuing God's work in this world, and by that we are freed.

ECM is dedicated to local, national, and global service through projects and trips all anchored with our relationship with each other and Christ.
